January’s XtraPOS Cloud update is all about refinement and making everyday workflows faster, smarter, and more automated. Building on the momentum of our December release, this update focuses on improving the point-of-sale experience, strengthening supplier-linked reporting, and reducing manual effort across inventory, commissions, and compliance.
The result is a system that works harder in the background, while your team works faster on the floor.
A Faster, More Intelligent POS Experience
Speed at the point of sale matters, especially during peak trading. January introduces several enhancements designed to reduce friction and keep transactions flowing.
POS screens can now prioritise recently punched items, bringing the last items sold to the top of the list. This small but powerful change cuts down on searching and speeds up high-volume transactions.
Printing is also now smarter. Receipts and documents can be sent directly to a preset printer without interruption from print dialogues, and each POS terminal can be configured to use either A4 or receipt printers. This is ideal for businesses handling both retail sales and wholesale or invoice-based transactions from the same system.
Stronger Supplier-Centered Inventory Insights
January delivers deeper visibility into supplier relationships and inventory value.
Supplier Item Codes are now available across all stock transaction grids, including Purchase Orders, GRVs, and Stock Takes, therefore making it easier to align your internal system with supplier documentation.
Reporting has also expanded to give clearer supplier insights. Stock Valuation Reports can now be filtered and grouped by Supplier, and Sales reports can be analysed based on the primary supplier of each item. This provides a more accurate picture of which suppliers contribute most to revenue and inventory holding.
Smarter, More Targeted Stock Replenishment
Stock replenishment is now more precise and more actionable.
The replenishment tool allows specific items to be excluded by outlet, ensuring that local sales anomalies don’t trigger unnecessary orders across the rest of the business. This is especially valuable for multi-store operations with regional demand differences.
A redesigned replenishment layout makes it easier to see what needs to be ordered at a glance, helping procurement teams make faster, more confident decisions.
Advanced Commission and Incentive Control
January introduces powerful new options for motivating sales teams with precision.
Retailers can now set commissions at the Brand level, enabling targeted incentives for high-margin or strategic labels. Multi-level commission structures can also be applied using Tags, allowing rewards to be tailored based on product attributes, campaigns, or internal groupings.
These enhancements give businesses greater flexibility in aligning staff incentives with commercial objectives.
Automated Reporting and Compliance
Automation continues to be a major focus, reducing risk and manual workload.
Automated reporting is now available for Lot and Expiry Tracking, providing proactive alerts for expiring stock and helping minimise waste while maintaining compliance.
Sales Trend reports can also be automated, delivering performance insights straight to your inbox so you can respond quickly to shifts in customer demand, without having to manually pull reports.
Designed for Efficiency From Day One
The January 2026 update is about precision where it counts: faster workflows, clearer supplier insights, smarter stock control, and automation that quietly saves time every day.
It’s a strong start to the year and another step toward making XtraPOS Cloud an even more powerful engine for modern retail. Stay tuned for next month's updates!
